What a Cake!

This weekend we had Bob and Cheri's 40th Anniversary Party. The theme of the big party was 60's rock'n roll because that was the year that that were married in. We were blessed with beautiful weather which allowed us to party outside under a great big tent. Bob and Cheri where joined by all their close friends and relatives and everyone had a rock'n rolling good time. Bob and Cheri surprised all the guest with a visit from Pearly the Magician and he performed a bunch of magic tricks for the audience and I'm pretty sure everyone really enjoyed it! Geoff, (Jamies brother) Donna, Brennan and Danielle drove up from Hamilton Ontario to take in the festivities. Bella was so excited to be able to hang out with her long lost cousins who she doesn't get to see much. She'll be real sad to see Brennan and Danielle go home, but hopefully we'll be seeing them at Christmas. Jamie dressed up for the occasion like a cool dude , and even drove a cool hot rod from the 60's ( not sure what the name of it is)to make the experience even more real. As the night went on and the guests left, the Wheaton clan continuted to party into the evening with alittle bit of shake, rattle and rolling!

Last weekend all the Wheaton's packed up their cars and headed south to Portland Maine for a 4 day mini vacation. Jamies brother Geoff and his family drove from Hamilton Ontario to meet us there. We stayed is cute little cabins in a town called Saco Maine. We had a blast playing at the beach and we were even able to make it to a great water park. I didn't have my camera so I couldn't take pictures, but Bob did so i'll be sure to post some. The weather was beautiful and the shopping was fabulous. WE are all now officially broke, but all dressed to the tee!

Well this weekend was Canada Weekend and we were all pumped to celebrate all the festivities in the provinces capital. Unfortunately life doesn't always go as planned and we ended up spending our weekend at home in bed. Poor miss Bella came down with a cold Saturday morning and by the time noon time came we had a really sick kid on our hands. Sunday we got dressed and thought we'd try to head downtown and make it to the parade but instead we took a detour and headed to Ormocto Hospital and got Bella checked out because she wasn't getting any better. Well it turns out she had a sinus infection, causing a pinkeye effect in her eyes and double ear infection. So we spent our long weekend at home in bed which is funny because it has worked out that every Canada day weekend for the past few years I had been sick and hardly made the celebrations. Oh well there's always next year! So no Canada day pictures this time.
